Our team of skin care experts at New Visage is here to help you achieve the cosmetic improvements you want using only the best products and treatments on the market. For our clients who want to grow longer and fuller eyelashes, we recommend Latisse™.
What is Latisse™?
Latisse™ is a prescription-only treatment that produces longer, thicker and darker lashes with regular use. Latisse™ is an FDA-approved formula, available only through physicians and licensed professional cosmetic facilities. Latisse™ is formulated with bimatoprost, an agent that promotes natural eyelash growth, making your eyelashes grow longer, darker, and fuller. Bimatoprost was originally developed as a medication for glaucoma. Soon, patients and doctors noticed that the medication increased eyelash growth and the formula was redesigned specifically for the purpose as Latisse™.
How is Latisse™ applied?
Latisse™ is applied to the base of the lower lashes to stimulate eyelash growth. Latisse™ promotes natural eyelash growth gradually, producing longer, thicker, and darker eyelashes over the course of about two months’ time.
What can I expect from Latisse™ treatment?
Our specialist will assess your medical history and condition to ensure that you are a good candidate for Latisse™. You may even be able to receive your treatment during the first consultation. Latisse™ works gradually, and most patients see a significant improvement over a period of about two months.
Patients can continue to use mascara if they desire. Due to the growth cycle of the eyelash, if a patient stops using Latisse™, they can expect to have their eyelashes return to their previous appearance over several months.
Am I a good candidate for Latisse™?
While Latisse™ eyelash treatment is suitable for most healthy adults, it is not recommended for individuals that are at high risk for glaucoma or those with persistent eye infections or irritations.
